Conference venue, Nordic Hotel Forum, is a responsible business, that follows eco-friendly practices, celebrates diversity and supports charities. The hotel was awarded the Green Key label already in 2010. This means that the hotel:
consumes water and energy as economically as possible, and reduces waste;
shops consciously, by ordering paper towels, toilet and office paper made of eco- labelled or recycled paper;
uses nature-friendly cleansing agents and minimizes the use of chemical agents;
prefers local raw materials in the hotel restaurant;
introduces eco-friendly principles to both the hotel staff and the guests, encourages participation in the hotel’s environmental activities
EcoBalt 2023 will take place in the Tallinn city center, with easy on foot access to Old Town, one of the best-preserved medieval towns in Europe, listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Conference venue is only a short distance from the Tallinn international airport as well as the passenger port, making the commute fast and eco-friendly.
The conference participants will have easy access to public transportation.
The conference social events will take place in the walkable distance from the conference venue to reduce carbon footprint.
The conference will use reusable tableware, will have vegetarian and vegan meal options available, and minimize waste generation.
Conference materials (organizational information, program, abstract book, etc) will be made available electronically and no paper materials will be printed.
